Edgewood students, administration , faculty, staff, and parents are committed to seeking excellence in who we are, what we know and what we do.  In pursuit of this goal, we pledge to:

BE HONEST

We will tell the truth, be sincere, not mislead or withhold key information in relationships of trust, never cheat, and never take the property of others without their permission.

DEMONSTRATE INTEGRITY

Stand up for our beliefs about right and wrong, be our best self, resist social pressure to do wrong.

KEEP PROMISES

Keep our word and honor our commitments, pay our debts, and return what we borrow.

BE LOYAL

Stand by family, friends, employers, community, and country, and not talk about people behind their backs.

BE RESPONSIBLE

Think before we act, consider consequences for our actions on ourselves and others, be accountable for our actions, and “take our medicine” if we mess up.

PURSUE EXCELLENCE

Do our very best with what we have, never quit easily, show true pride in ourselves by doing our very best.

BE KIND AND CARING

Show we care through generosity and compassion, avoid being selfish or mean.

TREAT ALL PEOPLE WITH RESPECT

Be courteous and polite, judge people on their merits, be tolerant, appreciative, and accepting of individual differences.

BE A GOOD CITIZEN

Obey the law, school rules, etc. and respect authority, vote in elections, volunteer our efforts, protect the environment, be a part of the solution to problems and not the problem.

BE FAIR

Treat all people as we would want to be treated, be open-minded, listen to others, and try to understand what they are saying and feeling.
